Magic of Massage

Ageing is a natural process where our skin looses it elasticity along with the elasticity of the muscles. The more blood flow increases in our muscles the more lively and fresh it becomes. So apart from hydrating and replenishing our skin, methods to revive our muscles play an important role in anti-ageing. Even though there are other invasive and medical ways, massaging is an easily doable and equally effective method to do so.
The draw back of massage is that if you do the massage in the wrong manner, it will even effect the shape of your face and body. Points to remember, before any massage.

1. Tools are not compulsory:
There are many tools in the market called Marble rollers, 3D Y shaped facial roller etc. these equipment make the massage a little better than hand massages. The technique of doing it is the key to its effectiveness. From my personal experience, I would recommend 3D Y shaped face massager as it has a pulling effect and can visibly see the effect of the increased blood flow to the read.

2. Time:
You don't have to invest hours of massage routine into your daily life. Just a 5 minute massage a day or 10 repetation of each massage motions are enough rejuvenise your muscles.

3. Lubricants:
Never do your massage on your bare skin as it tends to irritate your skin because of the friction. The best lubricant for the massage is the serums you use ,as massage helps in deep absorption of your serum or moisturising cream/gel, depending on your skin type.

4. Consistency:
Consistency , like any other beauty routine, is compulsory for amazing results. Constant rejuvenation of your muscles will keep them lively and fresh and young fighting the natural ageing process. Asian households have massages as a daily routine since their youth because of which they have amazing skin quality and remain young for a longer period of time.

5.Techniques:
The motions to be made for facial massage is always, down to up and centre to out. This will help the blood slow in that direction giving you a natural facial lift.
  • Use your knuckle of your index finger and middle finger , whee index finger knuckle is under the chin and middle finger knuckle is above the chin. Use both hands in the on the chin and run it up to your ears. do this 10 times.
  • Using 4 fingers of each hands on one side,  do small strokes running from the tips of your lips , upwards to the end of your eye. Do this 5 times each on either sides.
  • Use your index and middle finger to gently press and move outwards from your under eye area to the tip of your eye. complete the circle by doing the same on your upper eye.Do this 10 times each.
  •  Gently tap your eyelids, lips  for a min each.
  • Use your index finger knuckle below your eyebrows and middle finger knuckle above your eyebrow and run it from the beginning of your eyebrow to the end of your eyebrows.Do this 10 times.
  • use your finger tips to tap on your forehead from your eyebrow area to your hairline. do this for a min.

Sun screen

Sun screens are one most crucial element to be included in beauty product and healthy products. Sun is good for us only it is screened. The sunrays contain many dangerous aspects in it like UVA rays and UVB rays. The UVA rays are responsible for darkening our skin by encouraging the melanin production. But the UVB rays are much more dangerous.  It has the ability to penetrate substances like glass, cloth etc exposing us to this very harmful UVB rays. These rays are responsible for certain major diseases as skin cancer and such.

A sun block will only protect you from UVA rays. This will still expose you to the most dangerous rays the UVB rays. The sun block only tries to create a film between the sun rays and the skin and thereby doesn’t filter the UVB rays.
An ordinary sunscreen lotion again filters only UBA rays. The SPF valueon the sunscreen lotion depicts the amount of sunlight required for the UVA rays to penetrate in. TO make sure you are protected from the UVB rays as well, you need to check the PA on the bottle. PA+++ is the best, giving you maximum protection from the UVB rays. Therefore, when you buy a sunscreen make sure it has the SPF value of your choice with a PA+++.
IT is also important o wear a sunscreen inside your home as the UVB rays can penetrate through thin walls of curtains and such. The other problems faced by people with oily skin is pimple formation or suffocative feeling because of clogged pores due to the sunscreen lotion to all such people who suffers this problem.. please prefer sunscreen gel instead of sunscreen lotions.
Do comment any of your doubts and I will try getting back to you with your solution. Thank you.

10 tips to a beautiful boady

Just like you face your body is very much a part of your beauty. Imagine a person with a gorgeous face but a rough and dirty body? It would not in any case appeal at all. So here are 10 general tips to help your body glow the exact radiance your face does.

1. Prefer a body was to soap. Soaps are always harsh and can damage your skin. There are certainly soaps that promise of being softer but my personal experience was that it didn't serve its purpose of cleansing as much as expected. There is a large variety of body washes available choose the once to you preference.

2. Exfoliate your body as well. Just like your face, you need to exfoliate your body as well at-least once a week. Instead of buying a body exfoliate I would rather recommend you to make one at home. In case you need extreme body scrubs, you can mix in sugar and honey. else if you want to a milder one, you can mix in oats and honey. and such. Whether you buy it from a store or prepare it at home, you should exfoliate regularly, this will remove all the dead skin residue on the body and help it to breath.

3. Body packs: Once again just like a face pack, body packs does the same purpose. It helps in providing an extra hand in repairing our damaged skin and rejuvenating its well deserved glow and softness. You can very well get body packs readily available in market, else you can through in some ingredients from the kitchen in accordance to your skin requirements.

4. Pat dry: After our bath, it is very important to meekly pat dry the body than vigorously scrubbing off the water with the towel. The water on our skin needs to be absorbed as a part of skin hydration so be gentle while patting off the water from the body.

5. Moisturise: Moisturising is absolutely important as well during all the seasons. It is usually observed that people use a moisturiser only when they feel their skin to be dry. The reason your skin becomes extremely dry is because of the absence in regular moisturising. Depending on your skin type get a body moisturising cream/lotion. Apply onto your skin just after bath. moisturising just after bath will lock in the already present moisture into your skin and also you will need half of the usual amount of lotion required.

6. Do not apply face lotions/ creams on your body. You body is very different from your face. therefore using face lotions on your body will only be a wastage,\. Use products exclusively meant for your body for it to serve its purpose.

7. Body odour: Body odour is a sign of building bacteria. The simplest way to stop body odour build up is use 10 ml of antibacterial liquid into your bathing water at least once a week.

8. Darker skin in certain area:  Darker skin in areas like under arms, inner thighs etc are signs of damage and dehydration of the skin in the area. This happens due to friction in such sensitive areas. Due care has to be taken through application of oils, glycerine and such on regular basis to such areas in order to gradually revive the damaged skin.

9. Waxing or shaving: Getting rid of unwanted hair is absolutely common now a days. It gives a silky smooth finish and is quite appealing too but these procedures are quite painful and skin damaging as well on the long run. Therefore, it is advisable to apply coconut oil in the area of treatment after which a warm bath with help the skin heal to a great extend. application of skin boosters like Vitamin E aloe vera gel extra after the bath also helps in further healing.

10: Sleep: just like your face, your body also needs ample sleep to repair and revive. To area areas like hand and feet that are more prone to rougher work has to be taken special care before sleeping by application of foot creams and hand creams before sleeping. An alternative to this is Vaseline. Application of Vaseline to hands and feet before sleeping can do wonders to both. But it is also advised to wear a sock and a gloves while sleeping if you want quick results.

  • Oily skin problems? Apply aloevera gel when going to bed. This is for face, hands and legs.
  • Dry hair problem? Always apply a drop of oil , preferable non-sticky oil, on the.line formed when you center partition your hair. The rest of the oil rub it on the hair, especially on the tips. If you have long to very long hair. it can vary to 2-3 drops.

And these tips are actually small solutions to you beauty problems!! SO there!! Will be back with more new things i discover.. BYE!! Be gorgeous!
Psst-> you can use these on children too i wouldn't recommend on infants though.

Beautiful hair

I researched on hair a little before i concluded to what we are to discuss here. A few points you need to remember before doing anything at all on your hair are:

1.Your hair is very much different from others as the circumstances your hair is exposed differs, texture differs and all such matters differs,so the product suiting them may not always suit you.

2.You need to realise that your hair needs allot of protein and has to be hydrate enough for it to grow lusciously.

3.If you are looking for a permanent change in the quality of the hair make sure you know what you eat. Anything that goes through your mouth will have an effect on not just your body but of course your hair as well.

3.Oiling your hair regularly is important but the oil has to be chosen accordingly . Every oil has a purpose and choosing the oil that suits the purpose of your hair is very important.

4.Stimulating your hair before bed is critical for it to produce essential oils for repair while sleeping. Therefore you need to un-knot your hair gently with a comb for the purpose and then with a hair brush with rounded ends comb your hair from root to tip slowly, distributing the oils from the scalp to the tips as well. It is also recommended to up-down your hair and brush well to stimulate the hair growth and repair during sleep.

 5. While sleeping, it is common that the friction caused between your hair and the rough surface of your pillow case can cause ample damage to your hair. Therefore it is recommended to shift onto a satin pillow cover as it causes the least friction to your hair.

6.It is always better to avoid harsh chemicals and heat treatment on your hair. But in case used, make sure to free your hair from any residue it leaves behind and also use products that will help you reverse the damage it causes to your hair.

7. Always, wash your hair up-down as it stimulates hair growth and reduce breakage.

8. Never wash your hair daily as it tends to make your hair dry and promotes breakage. Also, do not rub dry your hair after bath as the friction is deadly for your hair.

9. Never wet comb or tie your hair. Blow dry the roots with moderate heat and from a safe distance and let the hair strands dry on its own before combing or tying your hair.

10. Always remember to put on a hair mask at least once a month to supply in a little extra for it to nourish and grow on.

Simplest facial care

Our face is the first thing anyone notices when we meet. besides, our face is exposed to heat, sunlight, pollution and such that very much adversely effects it glow. Besides all this a wrong diet, medical conditions, sleeplessness and many other conditions effects out face the  most. Our face being a mirror to our health and lifestyle we need to take care of it with utmost dedication.
Cleansing and rejuvenating our face should be part and personal of our daily lives.

Cleansing:
Cleansing is something you need to do at a minimum of 2 times at least, a day. If you have an oily skin that can increase up to 4 times a day as the oil on the face tends to attract more dust and bacteria on the surface. Using a face wash from a drug store or preparing a cleanser at home can be perfectly fine for this purpose.

Exfoliating:
Our cells die everyday replacing itself with new ones. Therefore, it is very important to remove them from the surface of our skin for letting the new ones breath. Exfoliating is a process of removing these dead cells with the help of small particles that when rubbed over your skin removes them along their motion. You can choose an exfoliate readily available in market or you can make at home.

Steaming
The purpose behind steaming is to open the pores. But prolonged steaming will adversely effect the skin as heat is not a very advisable element for the skin. But occasional steaming it fine. Opening of pores is required for purposes like black head removal and face packs in case you need deep nourishment or cleansing. Therefore once a month would be apt. If you don't have a steamer, all you need to do is boil water and allow the steam to reach your face from a safe distance. When you see droplets of water all over your face, you are ready for the next procedure.

Black head and White head removal:
Black heads/ white heads are small dirt deposits in the pores. This is one painful process in a beauty regime. Even though there are tools in the market that can remove black head/ white heads, it is not advised for an unsupervised usage of these tools as it can lead to bleeding.
As an alternative, there is an alternative that can remove 80% of the black/white heads at home with no pain. Mix in a half teaspoon of gelatin with 1 teaspoon of warm milk. Stir until the gelatin dissolves. Apply it in the effected area while the mixture is warm. Leave it to dry and slowly peel of the mixture to remove the black/white heads in the area. Please note that it even removes the fine hair on the skin therefore it can be painful if the fine hair is included in the area.

Face pack:
This is the one step where your skin is nourished with its essentials. As per your skin requirements you can either buy a face pack from the medical store or make one on your own at home.

Toner:
The purpose of a toner is to close your pores. This isn't a compulsory step as your pores tend to close gradually. But in case you have large pores, regular usage of a toner is advised. If your toner has alcohol in it, it is called an astringent and if it doesn't, it is called a toner. Alcohol is never advised on skin so a toner is always better.

Moisturise:
This is the finishing touch to your facial routine and the most important too. A hydrate skin glows and is healthy. Therefore to seal in all the work you have done on your face you should moisturise your face with a moisturiser that suits your skin. You can either make a moisturiser from home or buy it from a medical store suiting your skin.

N.B-> Please do check my other articles regarding each step where in I will discuss about the home made options you can make and other products you will need.

Pedicures at home!

Why do you have to go to parlours to waste your money on pedicures when 'you' can pamper your feet at its best! just follow the steps below and have beautiful feet and legs that feels just as soft and supple as a baby

1.Heat water to raise its temperature to a bearable heat. Pour it into a huge tray (in which you will soak your leg).
2. Meanwhile, in a tray bring in a towel, exfoliate( even face exfoliating cream would do), nail cutters, nail filers, cuticle cutters, pumice stone, brush and moisturiser.
3.Remove your nail polish if any, and cut or file them as your desire.
4. slowly push back the cuticles a bit. you can use a soft rounded tool for the purpose. This promotes nail growth. But do not push it very deep as this can damage the nail as well.
5. When done soak your feet in the heated water for say 10 minutes. Then take 1 foot out. With the pumice stone remove all the dead skins around your heels etc. This takes a while. then place it back to the water and do the same with your other foot. then back to the 1st foot. Repeat this process till all the dead skin is removed and your feet is smooth.
6.Use the exfoliating cream to scrub the foot and leg. wash it in the water and pat it dry. Do the same with the other foot.

7.Apply any body pack and let it say for the time advised ( you can use home made body packs as well).

8. After removing the pack apply moisturising cream and massage for a minute or so...

9. You can apply nail paint now.

Gorgeous skin

To have a gorgeous skin irrespective of your skin type please make sure to follow the below,

1) Always clean your face with a face wash before going to sleep. This helps in better repair of you skin while sleeping.

2) Drink a minimum of 10 glasses of water a day for hydrating your skin enough to reflect the glow from within.

3) Always wash your face when you return home. While outside, our skin is exposed to bacteria and other pollutants. This can cause or skin to break out and also can start causing damages to our skin. Always cleaning away any such harmful effects on the skin will help our body fight against any skin problems.

4) Despite any exercise you do, always spend some time for walking. Walking is one exercise that not only calms you done but also emotionally keeps you anxiety free. So take a walk outside, enjoy the breeze and relax yourself and the inner peace truly shows reflects on your skin.

5) Once a day remove any cream or any such substance used on your skin and allow it to breath. This will allow the oxygen to enter your skin and your skin will naturally start to glow.

6) Always exfoliate your face with daily exfoliate. It is said exfoliating your face daily will damage your skin therefore , i would recommend you to 'neem face pack' preferably from Himalaya to be used as a daily exfoliate.  Though this is a face pack, it has small granules of lead particles in it that acts as an exfoliate. This is gentle enough to rejuvenate your skin and remove any dead skin on your face. Do this daily as a part of your morning routine and your skin will glow like never before.

7) Never use soap on your face, instead can use face wash gels or natural powders as in home made chick pea powder etc. Soaps are harsh to your skin and that can absolutely unbalance the PH balance of you skin making it rough and patchy.

8)Always keep yourself away from chemicals. chemicals can for sure give you temporary good looks but on the long run it will age and damage your skin. Natural products for sure take their own sweet time but the results are much much longer and more grander than any chemicals can bring.

9) Sleep is another secret to beautiful skin. It is during this time that the skin repairs and works to all the best results you wish to have. An 8 hour sleep is a must in case a glowing skin is your target. It is called a "beauty sleep" for an obvious reason.

10) Lastly, you should know the content of the products you wear. Vitamin E is the key to best skin. Make sure you have ample of that on your skin in a form or other. Every product has a natural substitute. The more natural products you prefer the more your skin will thank you with its beautiful glow and feel.

THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL BELIEVE YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! AND THAT ALWAYS REFLECTS!
